Shuttle bus to take participants to and from rugby club for Mullingar Darkness Into Light

As preparations continue for the various Darkness Into Light (DIL) events in this area, there is a fundraising quiz in support of what is likely to be the largest one, in Mullingar.

The quiz takes place on Thursday of this week, April 23, from 9pm in the Annebrook House Hotel.

The entry is €10 per person and it’s for tables of four.

There will be plenty of prizes to be won, and all proceeds will go to Pieta House.

Also, the recently formed organising committee for Mullingar DIL have secured sponsorship from Farrellys Coaches to run shuttle buses from the town centre to Mullingar Rugby Club, where this year’s 5k event starts and finishes in the early hours of Saturday May 9. The bus route starts and Columb Barracks, goes out the Ashe Road and along past the hospital, out as far as the rugby club. The bus will pick up and drop off at all stops on the way, starting at 3am and running every 15 to 20 minutes. It will also do return runs after the walk.

The DIL event starts at 4.15am and the route is from the rugby club to the hospital and back.

Tea, coffee and treats will be available at the clubhouse for participants after the event.
