Plans for Killucan building fabricator
A Killucan manufacturing business have approached Westmeath County Council planners about their intention to develop their business premises.
Ray Smyth Roof Trusses Ltd plans to construct a timber truss fabrication building with an overall height of 11.8m and a staff facility building. As part of the plan, they hope to remove two prefab staff buildings and demolish a storage shed.
Other details in the plans cover the erection of signage, the installation of site lighting and permission to carry out all ancillary site works.
R Smyth Roof Trusses Ltd are leading providers of off-site timber engineering products in Ireland and Northern Ireland with over 35 years of experience in the sector.
They manufacture roof trusses and space joists and are a sister company of Smyths of Killucan Homevalue Hardware, a family business who have served the midlands for 140 years over six generations.
The local authority planners received the approach about the application on April 13, and have indicated they may reach a decision by June 7.
