Kilbeggan Races’ second day out

Following a great start to their season, on Friday April 24, which treated racing fans to some fantastic racing, Kilbeggan Racecourse opens its gates for its second race meeting of the year on Friday May 15.

The two feature races on the card is The Winning Post Service Station Handicap Hurdle over 3 miles. This was won last year by John Ryan’s Ad Caelum. Also, a feature on the card is The Shanette Superior Space Steeplechase over 2 miles 4 furlongs. Henry de Bromhead’s Marv Michael won this contest last year in tremendous fashion. There are seven races on the card this coming Friday, starting with a Maiden Hurdle and ending with a Bumper, with the two big races in between.

Kilbeggan Racecourse will welcome back to their fine marquee, the local GAA club; Kilbeggan Shamrocks, who had a fantastic evening out last year, bringing a large crowd and a huge atmosphere to the venue. The same can be expected again this Friday.

With more exciting racing on offer, along with good food and drink, ice-cream, music and bouncy castles for the kids, there is something for everyone to enjoy this coming Friday.

So, purchase your tickets today by visiting www.kilbegganraces.com where you will also receive all race day information. First race 4.10pm, gates open 2.30pm.
