Culture Night returns Friday 18 September: Get involved - open call for event organisers

The Arts Council have announced that Culture Night will return on Friday September 18 for its 21st edition, and organisers have officially launched an Open Call for event proposals.

Individuals, community groups, and organisations are all invited to propose activities for this year’s programme.

Culture Night engages one million people each year across live and digital events and television coverage.

It is ‘one night for all’, and there were more than 1,800 free events nationwide in 2025.

Everyone is invited to celebrate, discover, explore and enjoy the vibrancy of cultural life of Ireland available to us year-round. Further information on getting involved in Culture Night 2026 follow this link: culturenight.ie/get-involved/

Culture Night is brought to you by the Arts Council, in partnership with local authorities and cultural organisations across Ireland. The Open Call is run by local arts offices and Culture Night coordinators in local authorities throughout Ireland.
