HSA investigating Mullingar incident

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has confirmed that they are investigating at a construction site in Mullingar.

Emergency services attended an incident at Harbour Street, Mullingar this morning, before 9am. In a statement to the Examiner the HSA said: “The HSA is aware of the incident and has launched an investigation into the circumstances. As such, no further information is available at this time.”

The HSA investigates work-related accidents, dangerous occurrences, and fatalities to establish causes and determine if there are breaches of occupational safety laws. Investigations ensure compliance with legislation and help employers prevent similar incidents in the future.
