Huge thank-you to clean-up volunteers

The chairperson of Mullingar Tidy Towns has offered a “huge thank-you” to everyone who turned out to support the clean-up of Mullingar on Saturday.

Bill Collentine said the efforts of those who met in the town park, along the streets, and around local businesses made a fantastic difference. “It was great to see so many shopfronts looking clean and welcoming, and special thanks also to those who carried out their own individual clean-up work around the town.”

There is another community clean-up on Saturday next, May 23, at 10am, meeting in the town park.

“We all want to make Mullingar pristine and give our town the best possible chance of being named the cleanest town in Ireland. Winning the trophy would be a tremendous boost and a proud achievement for our wonderful town.

“Every helping hand makes a difference, so we hope to see another great turnout next Saturday.”
