Mullingar Jets welcome European champion Danielle Hillto give performance clinics

Mullingar Jets swimming club welcomed European champion and double Olympian swimmer Danielle Hill to deliver performance clinics for members, on Saturday last, May 23.

Over the course of two hours, Danielle ran three performance clinics for swimmers, ranging from aged seven years up to the senior competition squad members.

The focus was on backstroke, and all swimmers gained tips and advice to carry forward in their training.

After the performance clinics, swimmers, parents and coaches gathered in the Annebrook House Hotel where Danielle spoke with them for an hour, answering questions that kept flowing.

A club spokesperson said it was an inspirational evening: “It was so uplifting to see the young swimmers speak up in a crowded room to ask whatever questions they had, and Danielle was so generous with her time and expertise.2

Photos were taken, autographs were signed and the evening ended with everyone feeling invigorated after such a positive evening for the club. All club members will be watching out for Danielle competing in the European Championships and Commonwealth Games in the summer.
