Tradebe announce Mullingar acquisition
Environmental services company Tradebe has announced its entry into the Irish market following the acquisition of a majority stake in Soltec (Ireland) Ltd, a well-established hazardous waste management and solvent recycling business based in Mullingar, Westmeath.
The deal marks a significant milestone for Tradebe as it expands its environmental services operations across Ireland and strengthens its presence in the UK and Irish markets.
Founded by the Corcoran family, Soltec has built a strong reputation for providing transfer station services and solvent recycling solutions to a diverse range of industrial customers. The company employs 25 people and generates annual revenues of approximately €6 million.
Tradebe said the acquisition reflects its ongoing commitment to growing its environmental services capabilities and delivering integrated waste management and resource recovery solutions to customers throughout the region. Soltec will now become part of Tradebe’s Environmental Services business line.
The Mullingar facility is recognised for its high standards in environmental management, health and safety, and quality assurance. The company has also earned praise for its customer-focused approach, regularly welcoming customer audits as part of its commitment to transparency, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Industry observers view the acquisition as a positive development for the Irish environmental services sector, bringing additional investment and expertise to the market while supporting sustainable waste management practices.
Tradebe believes the partnership will create new opportunities for growth and collaboration, enabling both companies to enhance service offerings and deliver greater value to customers as demand for environmental and resource recovery services continues to grow across Ireland and the UK.
