Flamers claim national award
Westmeath fuel business Flamers has received a €15,000 prize after being awarded the Guaranteed Irish Brand Advocacy Champion title, recognising the company’s strong and consistent activation of the Guaranteed Irish symbol across its business and marketing communications.
Established in 2009, Flamers is a family-owned and operated business based in Mullingar, specialising in sustainable solid fuel products and Ireland’s first 100% recycled wood logs.
Guaranteed Irish recognises one member a month for exceptional use of the iconic ‘G’. The Brand Advocacy Champion receives a marketing support package valued at €15,000, including advertising in The Irish Times, a national radio campaign and regional PR support.
Flamers integrated the Guaranteed Irish symbol across digital platforms, packaging, social media, sales collateral, marketing communications, point-of-sale materials, fleet branding and out-of-home advertising.
Recognised nationwide for its carbon-neutral recycled wood logs and eco-friendly fuel solutions, Flamers continues to lead by example in sustainable manufacturing, producing wood logs from 100% recycled timber and becoming the only business of its kind in Ireland to receive an EPA 'End of Waste' Licence for Timber Solid Fuel Products.
Fergal Conroy, director at Flamers, said: “At Flamers, sustainability, supporting Irish communities and delivering trusted Irish-made products have always been at the centre of our business. Integrating the Guaranteed Irish symbol across our communications helped strengthen that message and showcase the values behind our brand. We are delighted to be recognised as a Guaranteed Irish Brand Advocacy Champion.”
This recognition also reflects the wider impact of the Guaranteed Irish network. Research carried out in 2025 found that 75% of member businesses reported a positive impact on their bottom line when actively using the Guaranteed Irish licence.
