President Connolly accepts invitation to be IRVA patron

The Irish Road Victims Association (IRVA) have announced that President Catherine Connolly has accepted an invitation to become their sole patron .

The announcement, made at their AGM by IRVA honorary vice-president and founding member, Noel O’Callaghan, and was warmly welcomed by those in attendance.

It represents a milestone in the history of IRVA and is recognition of their work supporting road victims, survivors of serious road traffic collisions, and bereaved families throughout Ireland.

For many years, the IRVA have advocated for safer roads, greater accountability, legislative reform, and improved support services for those whose lives have been forever changed by road trauma.

President Connolly’s patronage acknowledges the importance of that work and provides encouragement as the IRVA continue their mission.

Donna Price, IRVA founder and president, said: “The acceptance of patronage by President Catherine Connolly is an honour for IRVA and for the families we represent. It is a recognition of the voices of road victims, survivors and bereaved families across Ireland.

“For many years, our organisation has worked to support those affected by road trauma, to advocate for safer roads, and to campaign for meaningful change.

“We are grateful to President Connolly for her support and encouragement, and we look forward to continuing our work on behalf of road victims and their families throughout Ireland.”
