Women’s Community Projects launch Strategic Plan 2026-31

Women’s Community Projects, the Mullingar charity founded by Sr Finbarr Breslin more than 40 years ago, launched their Strategic Plan 2026-2031 on Friday June 12.

Located in the Parish Community Centre, Bishopsgate Street, WCP’s mission is to support women and their families by providing childcare, training and education, community employment and counselling services.

Speaking at the launch, the chairperson of WCP board of directors, Dr Pearse Murphy, said: “Today’s launch marks a significant step forward in the development of Women’s Community Projects.

"The challenges faced by Sr Finbarr are still there, but this plan gives us a clear, structured basis on which to equip our organisation to meet them.

“Our staff have been central to the success of WCP and we know we can count on their support in the drive to implement this plan.”
