Thunderstorms on the way this morning, say Met Éireann

It looks like the heat is going to ease today and we can expect thunderstorms.

Westmeath is included among the counties under a level Yellow warning by Met Éireann.

The message is: Thunderstorms possible in places. Due to their hit and miss nature, not all areas will experience them.

Possible impacts:

• Localised flooding

• Hail damage

• Difficult travelling conditions

• Damage to utilities including power, water, gas, telecommunications

• Very gusty winds

Affected Regions: Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Kildare, Leitrim, Laois, Longford, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Westmeath
