The need for traffic calming measures in Raharney and works at a dangerous junction near Delvin as well as a request for details on the improvements carried out at Killucan Playground were among the matters brought to the attention of officials by the mayor, Cllr Niall Gaffney, at the June meeting of the Mullingar-Kinnegad Municipal District.

The works included the installation of a new universal carousel, upgrades to the zip line and climbing frame, the creation of a new storytelling area, and repairs to entrance gates and the official written response stated that the improvements form part of ongoing efforts to enhance recreational facilities for children and families in the Killucan area.
