Kells set for three days of a Summerfest
Music, entertainment, and family fun in the Headfort Garden
Get ready for some big summer fun in Kells as the Headfort Arms Hotel presents Kells Summerfest 2026 in the Garden from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July.
The sun is out and the forecast looking good as Kells embraces festival season for a great weekend outdoors. From the classics of Elton John and Billy Joel, musical maestro Frank McNamara (formerly of the Late Late Show) will kick off the weekend with his show on Friday 10th July, ‘The Piano Men’, a special sunset concert performed with the Bridgerton Quartet. This spectacular live performance combines timeless classics with a magical candlelit atmosphere in the gardens of Headfort and kicks off at 9.30pm.
Saturday sees a huge outdoor country music evening in Kells with The Highwaymen Reincarnated - a high-energy tribute celebrating the legendary Highwaymen catalogue and that outlaw-country sound. This will be followed by the Ultimate Chris Stapleton Tribute Show - bringing the big voice, big songs and modern country atmosphere that Stapleton fans love. Expect an incredible summer atmosphere with outdoor themed bars, garden grill and country festival vibes from 6pm. Enjoy two class tribute shows back-to-back.
The set up will be proper summer festival vibe so dust off the boots and hats and make a night of it.
The weekend accumulates on Sunday 12th July, Headfort Arms Hotel with a fantastic Family Fun Day in the Garden from 1pm to 5pm. This free event is perfect for local families or those visiting and includes: Giant games, Live music, Entertainment and Garden grill all afternoon, Face painting, magician performances, outdoor fun for all ages. And for the grown-ups there’ll be cocktails, beer, and garden dining available all day long! Free Entry.
