Minister Robert Troy TD to host annual charity BBQ in Mullingar
Minister Robert Troy TD has announced that his Annual Charity BBQ will take place this Saturday, September 5, at Montgomery’s Bar Beer Garden on Dominick Street, Mullingar.
The annual event has become a popular social occasion, bringing together families, friends and supporters to raise funds for charities and community organisations across Westmeath.
This year’s charities are Family Carers Ireland and North Westmeath Hospice, and support will also be provided to a number of other local charities.
Minister Troy will be joined on the evening by his party colleague and guest of honour, James Browne, TD, Minister for Housing.
Food will be served from 5pm until 8pm, and everyone is welcome to attend. Minister Troy is encouraging people to bring along their family and friends for what promises to be an enjoyable evening while supporting some worthwhile causes.
He said: “I am delighted to be hosting my Annual Charity BBQ once again and I look forward to welcoming people from across Westmeath to Montgomery’s on Saturday evening. The BBQ is always a great social occasion, but most importantly it gives us an opportunity to support some fantastic charities and organisations that do such important work in our communities.
“Family Carers Ireland and North Westmeath Hospice are both hugely valued organisations, and I am delighted that they are our chosen charities this year. We will also be supporting a number of other local charities.
“I am particularly pleased that James Browne TD, Minister for Housing, will be joining us as our guest of honour. I would encourage everyone to come along, bring their family and friends, enjoy the evening and help us raise as much as possible for these very deserving causes.”
The event will take place in the fully covered Beer Garden at Montgomery’s Bar, Dominick Street, Mullingar (N91 ED35).
The Beer Garden can be accessed through the front entrance of Montgomery’s Bar on Dominick Street or alternatively through the rear entrance on Grove Street.
