Skydiving fundraiser ‘Fly High for Mark, Amy and Michaela’
‘Fly High for Mark, Amy and Michaela’ is the name of a Mullingar fundraiser for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
It is being organised by Ciara Heffernan and it’s to honour the memory of Mark McCullagh-Crichton, his girlfriend Michaela Newcombe, and his sister-in-law Amy, who died in a car crash near Málaga in June
In a note on GoFundMe, Ciara writes, ‘Facing a tragedy like that is a pain you can never truly prepare for, but the nightmare becomes even heavier when your loved ones pass away far from home.
‘In our darkest moments, when we felt completely lost and overwhelmed, the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust stepped in.
‘They became our guiding light. Without hesitation, they took care of everything and brought Mark, Amy, and Michaela back across the world and safely home into our arms so we could say our final, proper goodbyes.’
Ciara and Ian McCullagh are planning a fundraising jump from 10,000 feet at the Irish Parachute Club in Offaly on October 10.
Their funding target is €2,000, and at the time of writing, it is at 14% of that (€272).
Ciara adds, ‘Every single euro raised from this skydive goes directly to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
‘We are doing this for you, Mark. For you, Amy. For you, Michaela. Flying high for three absolute angels.’
If you can donate, the link is here. Every bit helps us reach the target.
‘If you can’t donate, please share this post to spread the word about the incredible work this trust does.
‘Thank you all so much for the love and support. Ciara and Ian.’
