Cousins - Leah Colbert, Izzy Kelly, Eva McGrath and Kayla McGrath at the open day at Uisneach VeterinaryClients, families and members of the local community were welcomed to a fantastic open day at Uisneach Veterinary in Mullingar Business Park on Saturday as they celebrated their first year of providing veterinary care to pets across Mullingar and the surrounding areas.
The day offered something for everyone and visitors enjoyed a BBQ, refreshments, face painting, competitions, home-baked treats, a raffle in aid of the local charity Paw Patrol, and a chance to meet the team and find out more about the practice.
Visitors got a behind-the-scenes tour of Uisneach Veterinary including the consultation rooms and the facilities used by the veterinary team, from the X-ray to the surgical departments.
Delicious burgers were provided by Dermot Colbert of Durrow, while The Milkman’s Mug from Multyfarnham kept visitors refreshed with tea, coffee, drinks and treats.
For younger visitors, there was entertainment with Valda of Face Painting Mullingar, creating plenty of colourful smiles throughout the day.
Deirdre Barry from Delvin was there with Coco, a four-year-old retired greyhound, to tell visitors more about the Irish Greyhound Society and how to adopt a greyhound.
Peter Burke, TD, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, a client of the practice, performed the official opening, marking a special occasion for the relatively new practice and its growing place within the community.
With a brilliant turnout and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day, the event was a fitting celebration of everything Uisneach Veterinary has become in such a short time – a modern veterinary practice with a strong focus on exceptional veterinary care, teamwork and creating the best possible experience for both pets and their owners.
The open day also gave the Uisneach team an opportunity to thank their clients and staff, whose continued support has helped the practice grow since opening. The team was delighted with the turnout and with all of the local businesses and individuals who helped make the day such a success.
