Volunteers from across country assist in Lough Ennell search

Volunteers from across the country have assisted in the search for a man in his 20s who went missing at Lough Ennell.

The multi-agency search operation has been coordinated by the Garda Water Unit, assisted by local sub aqua units, Civil Defence.

The search commenced after a 17-foot fishing boat belonging to the man was found in the lake. Volunteers have arranged water craft, sonar and air and water drones to search the lake over the last number of days.

Search and rescue services from as far away as Mallow have travelled to assist the efforts.
