TDs and senators encouraged to support ‘End the Exodus’ of Early Years workforce

An exodus of staff is putting the Early Years and School Age Care system at grave risk, according to Early Childhood Ireland, who briefed elected members at a ‘Meet the Members’ event in the Buswells Hotel this week.

Sinn Féin TD Sorca Clarke was among the members of the Oireachtas who attended.

At the event, Early Childhood Ireland encouraged elected members to push government to name a date to introduce pay parity for Early Years and School Age Care graduates, to support the call to double the Graduate Premium in Core Funding, and the investment in three in-service days per year for every Early Years and School Age Care setting.
