Minister Burke hosts coffee morning for North Westmeath Hospice
“I was delighted with the turnout at my coffee morning in aid of North Westmeath Hospice,” said Minister Peter Burke following the event. “I have been holding these events annually for some years now, and the most recent edition was the best attended to date.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for their support and generosity. The donations were incredibly generous and are very much appreciated.
“We all know the huge amount of work the Hospice does throughout north Westmeath and the valuable service it provides. There can hardly be a family in Westmeath that has not been touched by the Hospice and the professionalism and compassion of its staff.
“It is also great to know that all of the money raised (€1900) by the coffee morning will stay within the locality and directly support the work of the hospice. I would also like to thank the many local businesses that lent their support to the coffee morning – David Smyth Catering, An Olivia Chocolate and Red Rooster Coffee – for their generous donations of food and coffee.”
