Westmeath native Mary Dowling has opened her own practice at Bellview Offices, Clonard House, Dublin Road, Mullingar. Mary has been practising law for over a decade in Ireland and the UK. She qualified and completed her training in England before returning to Ireland and joining the Irish Roll of Solicitors in 2016.

Mary is a sole practitioner providing services in conveyancing, probate, wills, employment law, personal injury and civil litigation. Recognising the demands of modern life, she has also made accessing her services as convenient as possible.

"One of the services we offer is remote conveyancing," Mary said. "We understand that our clients are busy and may not want to take time away from work to meet their solicitor in person. Where legally permitted, we can facilitate electronic signatures and arrange for documentation to be signed remotely.

"We have clients who work all sorts of hours, and it is not always possible for them to attend the office by appointment. We have found the remote service particularly beneficial, especially for younger clients who often prefer to conduct matters electronically."

Dowling & Co Solicitors is also part of the Free Wills Network.

"The network works with a range of charities that will cover the legal fee for making your will, provided you leave a gift to the participating charity, such as the RNLI, LauraLynn and Focus Ireland.

"This means you can have your will prepared without paying the legal fee, and there is no minimum amount that must be left to the charity."

Alongside her general legal practice, Mary is developing a growing area of work as a legal adjudicator on television productions in the UK.

“In June, I worked with Amazon Prime on a reality television production which will air at the end of 2026, and more recently I provided adjudication services on the UK television programme Tipping Point in July and September. This is an exciting and evolving area and I look forward to building on this experience and hopefully undertaking further work within the television and media industry.”

This work has enabled Mary to apply her legal expertise in a different setting while continuing to strengthen her professional connections in the UK.

Dowling & Co Solicitors is located at Bellview Offices, Clonard House, Dublin Road, Mullingar—a beautiful historic period property that has been renovated and repurposed to offer fully serviced offices with on-site parking for tenants and clients alike.
