Bus Éireann advises passengers to check service updates as the arrival of Storm Austin brews
The national bus operator is advising customers be wary of any service updates as there are likely to be disruptions due to the approach of Storm Austen.
Bus Éireann services are scheduled to run as normal, however customers should be aware that strong winds and heavy rain could lead to disruptions in areas across the country.
"All Bus Éireann services are scheduled to operate as normal, however if any are impacted by the stormy weather, we will post details online as quickly as possible to keep our customers informed," said Chief Customer Officer, Allen Parker.
"The best approach would be to check service updates on our website before leaving home, to minimise any potential disruption”
There are also warnings about the possibility of flooding, debris, and fallen trees on the roads.
