Marathon challenge in memory of much-loved Westmeath woman

Two friends and work colleagues will take on the Dublin City Marathon this Sunday, October 25, in memory of their dear friend Louise Elliott, while raising funds for North Westmeath Hospice.

Mary Goldsberry and Nicole Scally will lace up their running shoes for the 26.2-mile challenge to honour Louise, who sadly passed away.

A keen runner herself, Louise was also a passionate supporter of North Westmeath Hospice, making the fundraising effort a fitting tribute to her life and the causes she held close to her heart.

Through a GoFundMe campaign, Mary is appealing to the public to support their marathon challenge, with all donations going towards North Westmeath Hospice Company Limited by Guarantee.

The pair hope their efforts will help continue Louise’s support for the hospice and contribute to the vital work it carries out in the local community.

In their fundraising appeal, Mary expressed gratitude for every contribution, no matter how small, as they prepare to take on the demanding course.

Their participation in the Dublin City Marathon will provide an opportunity to celebrate Louise’s love of running, remember a cherished friend and colleague, and support a service that meant so much to her.

Donations can be made through Mary Goldsberry’s GoFundMe fundraising page.
