Glimpse of Škoda’s electric future as new Peaq arrives
The future of family motoring will be in the spotlight at Mullingar Autos Škoda this October, as motorists get an early look at the all-new Škoda Peaq, a seven-seat electric SUV, alongside the new Škoda Epiq, a sporty crossover SUV.
Mullingar Autos Škoda will host its 271 Event from Wednesday October 28 to Saturday October 31, offering customers four days of special offers, new-model previews and opportunities to explore the latest developments from the brand.
With the new Peaq and Epiq on display ahead of their full Irish launch in January 2027, the event will provide an opportunity for motorists to see what lies ahead for Škoda’s expanding electric range.
The Peaq is especially significant for families considering the move to electric motoring. As a seven-seat electric SUV, it brings together the appeal of fully electric driving with the flexibility of additional seating, making it a model to watch for larger families and those who need extra passenger space.
For motorists who have traditionally associated electric vehicles with smaller cars or five-seat SUVs, the Peaq offers a glimpse of how electric motoring is expanding into the larger family vehicle segment.
Its presence at the Mullingar event will allow customers to discover the model ahead of its full Irish launch and explore how the next generation of electric Škodas could fit into everyday family life.
The Epiq will also feature at the event, giving visitors an early look at another important addition to Škoda’s future electric line-up. Together, the two models highlight the breadth of the brand’s electric ambitions, with new options being developed for different lifestyles and motoring needs.
James Bourke of Mullingar Autos Škoda believes the new models will give local motorists plenty to look forward to.
"It’s an exciting time for Škoda, particularly with the new electric models on the horizon. The Peaq is especially interesting because it brings seven-seat practicality into the electric SUV conversation. For families who need that extra space but are also considering making the move to electric, it’s a model they’ll want to see.
"Having both the Peaq and Epiq on display ahead of their full Irish launch in January 2027 gives our customers in the midlands an opportunity to get an early look at what’s coming next from Škoda. Both cars are left hand drive, on loan from the Škoda factory for a few days. So this really is an opportunity to get a quick glimpse of these new models, but both are available to order for delivery in early 2027."
While the new models will provide a glimpse into the future, the 271 Event will also offer plenty of reasons for customers considering a new car today to visit the showroom.
There will be special offers across the current Škoda electric vehicle range, deposit contributions on diesel models and trade-in boosters for existing Škoda customers. The aim is to give motorists a range of options, whether they’re ready to make the switch to electric, prefer diesel for their driving requirements or are looking to upgrade their current Škoda.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to speak with the Mullingar Autos team, explore available models and discuss trade-in valuations and finance options.
As electric vehicles continue to develop, the arrival of models such as the Peaq demonstrates how the choice available to motorists is evolving. For families in particular, the prospect of a seven-seat electric SUV adds another dimension to the conversation around making the switch to electric driving.
With a first look at two new electric models, offers across the current range and incentives for existing customers, Mullingar Autos Škoda’s 271 Event promises four days of motoring interest for drivers across the midlands.
