‘Oh My Goth!’ Projekt Noir bring dark and light for Halloween gig
As darkness settles over Mullingar on Halloween night, alternative tunes will be heard blasting from the Stables at Smiddy’s bar.
Projekt Noir is bringing a night full of live music and DJs with their ‘Oh My Goth,’ night starting at 7.30pm (first band on stage at 8.30pm).
The songs performed will be dark and light, high and low, loud, and soft. Bands such as The Black Projekt, Galactic Punk, The Unknowns, Mush, Empire Strikes Back, The Podcast, March of The Atheists as well as DJ Spaceboy and DJ Sally Cinco are on the bill, and ready to transport alternative music listeners across five decades, from the 1960s right up to the modern day.
“If you are into rock, punk, indie, darkwave and post-punk music, and the dark side of music, this will be a great night to meet and socialise with like-minded people,” said Projekt Noir organisers.
They offer a carefully curated splattering of darkwave, punk and indie rock songs from bands such as the Sisters of Mercy, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Depeche Mode, Joy Division The Cure, The Psychedelic Furs, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Primal Scream, R.E.M., Pixies, Radiohead, The Frames, The Primitives, Neil Young.
“Everyone is welcome to join us on the night for a black celebration of the music we love.”
The event is free entry and fancy dress is optional.
The event will mark the 15th edition of Projekt Noir’s alternative music nights.
