Talented trio to play on Toy Show
An Edenderry schoolboy and his two little brothers have beaten hundreds of hopeful musicians to provide the traditional music for the âLate Late Toy Show'.Arthur O'Connor-Stone, who is a student at St Finian's College in Mullingar, will be joined by his brothers 12 year old Theodore and 7 year old Ademar to provide the traditional Irish Music for the Irish Dancing segment.Their mother Mary sent a CD of the children playing traditional music into RTÉ at the beginning of autumn. The producers of the Toy Show called the children in to audition three weeks ago and they were joined a shortlist of 34 acts and then chosen to come on the show.âThis is so exciting and the boys think its brilliant. Arthur is too old for toys now but Ademar is only 7 and he is so excited about seeing all the new toys,â says Mary. Now that they have been selected, the boys are travelling up to Dublin to rehearse before the big live show.Arthur, 17, will be playing the bazuki, Theodore will be playing the banjo and Ademar will be playing the violin. Arthur and Theodore are also All-Ireland champions in music and Ademar won second place at this year's Leinster Fleadh.
