The late Annie Kelly

It is with deep regret, that we note the sad passing of Annie Kelly (nee Nally) of Churchtown, Ballinea. Mrs. Kelly passed away peacefully at her home on December 11th, 2009 in the loving care of her family.A quiet unassuming lady, Mrs. Kelly reared a large family in hard economic times with her late husband, Paddy Kelly, who died January 8th, 1980.She was well liked and respected by all who knew her, and with her ready smile and sharp wit, people always came away the better for having met her. She liked the occasional night out on the town if Tommy Fleming, Sonny Knowles or the late Joe Dolan were playing in the area. Most of all she lived for and took great delight in her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her close friends. She will be sadly missed by all and remembered for her cheerfulness and kindness in good times and in bad. We extend our sympathies to Kevin Nally, Gainstown and her sister Molly L'Estrange, Dysart and all her extended family and friends.May she rest in peace and may the Lord have mercy on her gentle soul.A quiet unassuming lady, Mrs. Kelly reared a large family in hard economic times with her late husband, Paddy Kelly, who died January 8th, 1980.She was well liked and respected by all who knew her, and with her ready smile and sharp wit, people always came away the better for having met her.
