Weather plays ball for Wilson's Hospital School summer fete
The weather was in the mood for the summer fete organised by the parents council at Wilson’s Hospital School in Multyfarnham this week, and everyone enjoyed a fun filled fundraising day.
It was an opportunity for future, current and past pupils to get together to meet friends and enjoy a family day out. Past and current staff and friends of the school also attended so there were plenty of reunions.
Activities included egg and spoon races, three-legged races, tug-o-war, go-karting and welly throwing; and there were stalls with cakes, plants and books. There was also face painting and fun tattoos and an impressive display of vintage vehicles.
A spokesperson for the school said: “We were delighted with an impromptu visit from past pupil Arianna Harris and her biker friends as they were out biking on International Female Ride Day. Family dogs were not disappointed as there was a big welcome for them at the dog show.
“A successful tombola was run where everyone was a winner! Everyone enjoyed the ice cream and refreshments available.”
There were vouchers and sponsorship from a number of businesses, suppliers and associates of the school, including the caterers Brook Foods, who sponsored a BBQ. There was a huge raffle and many prizes were donated.
“Thank you to everyone who donated inn any way and who sponsored the event.
“Wilson’s Hospital School Parents Council and Wilson’s Hospital School would like to express our most sincere thanks to all of those people and businesses who supported our summer fete 2022.”
