Kinnegad Juniors AFC agree major sponsorship deal with Lagan Cement

Kinnegad Juniors AFC has just agreed a major sponsorship deal in relation to their seven acre site on the Killucan Road in Kinnegad. The last 12 months have been hugely progressive for the club, now in its third year since its formation.They have gained ownership of the site and then received planning permission from Westmeath County Council to develop it; and now, within the last week, have just secured a major sponsorship deal with Lagan Cement.As a result, the Killucan Road facility will now be known as Lagan Park - in recognition of the substantial sponsorship package they have given to obtain the naming rights for the ground. The official sod-turning is planned for next month - when construction work will commence.Speaking at a press briefing this week, Kinnegad Juniors AFC Chairman, Colm Gildea said: 'On behalf of the committee, players and everyone associated with Kinnegad Juniors AFC, I would like to convey my sincere thanks to Lagan Cement, who have agreed to partner with us on a very substantial sponsorship deal. Lagan Cement has been hugely supportive to the club to date, and this new financial backing provides the ideal opportunity for us to commence work on our site on the Killucan Road.'We have been most fortunate to date in benefiting from the generosity of many people. Firstly, DFGM Properties from Galway presented us with seven acres of their overall holding in Kinnegad. Their magnificent contribution gave us the platform to turn our dream of a state-of-the-art soccer complex in Kinnegad into a reality. The sponsorship secured with Lagan Cement now gives us a vital injection of funding to begin work at the site.
