Uisneach Catering repeat success as Caterer of the Year

Uisneach Catering have won the title Caterer of the Year for the third time in the Irish Hospitality Awards. They add the 2022 title to those they won in 2018 and 2019.

The latest award comes as Áine Gavigan and her husband Ger mark the 21st year of their business.

Speaking to the Examiner after the awards ceremony, which was on November 14 at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin, Áine said even being nominated requires a huge amount of preparation in terms of paperwork – she described the submission as comparable to preparing a business plan to present to potential investors.

She said the Uisneach Catering Food Truck they launched during the Covid-19 pandemic, and which is still trading successfully, helped their case this year.

Uisneach Catering have a small team of committed workers, and Áine expressed her thanks to them.

She also paid tribute to the Annebrook House Hotel and Peadar’s Bar Moate, who also won prizes at the Irish Hospitality Awards.
