More than 600 Christmas Shoeboxes from Rochfortbridge
A large group of people working together made it possible to put together a grand total of 620 Christmas Shoeboxes in Rochfortbridge this year. It was a major undertaking, filling all shoeboxes with appropriate items, not to mention finding €4 per box to finance their transport.
Thank you to everyone who helped and supported in any way: those who attended the pub quiz, gave donations and donated suitable gifts; all those who spent time knitting hats throughout the year and the children and teenagers who helped to make up the boxes.
Thanks also go to the transition year students from St Joseph’s Secondary School who played a big part this year making, and helping to deliver, the boxes to the warehouse in Mullingar.
This year, all shoeboxes from Rochfortbridge will bring great joy to children in Moldova.
Congratulations and well done to everyone who made this possible.
