Westmeath competitors return home as heroes
The curtain came down last weekend on three very successful weekends of National Final at the A.I.T. Athlone. All the Westmeath competitors had excellent performances across the events with everybody excelling in their finals. While not winning a bagful of medals, we hope that all of our participants had an enjoyable, positive and memorable experience. It is only through participation that all these children will learn more about themselves, their friends, about staying active, being healthy and especially the values of fair play and respect in sport. We hope they will all continue to take part in the Community Games and their local sports clubs.Well done to all the following competitors who gave of their very best, with the majority of them coming through their heats and semi-finals only to find themselves in the minor placings.
