Hundreds of people gathered for the Mullingar’s Darkness into Light walk from before 4am at St Loman’s GAA grounds.
Members of the organising team (the event was coordinated by Mullingar Chamber and Mullingar Tidy Towns) addressed the crowd and everyone observed a short silence before they set off at 4.15am start.
The walk was 4.3km and the route was from the St Loman's GAA grounds through the town park and back again.
Well done to everyone who got up early for the event!
