Beating Depression

Sometimes energy, life’s interest flown,

Love and fun past, yes feeling alone.

Internal flame, at all-time low,

Thoughts racing and slow.

A nasty companion, selfish, consume,

Feel like, only one depressed, in room.

Isolation, thoughts – keep inside,

How it wins, honesty hides.

A deep, deep hole, sadness entrenched,

Keep it to self, sorrow drenched.

No one wants, misery around,

Easier to suffer, alone, not a sound.

To beat this monster, share thoughts if can,

Appears modern society, woman and man.

Get out, air, comfort zone inside,

Try to live life, it’s ok to cry.

Do something creative, and fun,

Then you’ll see depression run.

Build up resilience, but heart soft stay,

This will help days pass, while on your way.

Armageddon II

Armies drawn this fiery pit

Good versus evil Hope flame lit

Tools of war forged and made

Peace and truth versus fiery rage

Leaders born chosen not made

Evil swishes deadly switch blade

Heavenly, versus death, eternal choice

All roar out in determined true voice

Skies turn from blue to dark red

No time for rest, choose war instead

This fight was written, had to be done

Good army lead, by the chosen one

The battle is set, war is waged

Evil vengeance, godly rage

Both move forward, sprinter’s pace

Trepidation, on every face

Weapons wielded, contact made

Swords, machetes even spades

Many sacrificed, many lost

Eternal glory, opportunity cost

Heated battle, good versus bad

Theologians think oh so sad

The winner wins eternal plight

Is good guaranteed? Birth right

The battle is done, now daylight

Death is now gone, as with night

Victorious truth, peace at last

No regrets, they are in the past

God victorious, sits on throne

Surrounded by friends, not alone

The prize is Love, eternal last

Living today, as if it’s last.

Death of an avocado

I lie there

Sit there on my own

Quite content

Not feeling alone

Lifted right up

And placed in bag

Full of excitement

Not feeling too bad

Lunchtime comes

Out into the light

Placed on table

I got a big fright

I sit alone

Cold on plate

Not feeling good

Not feeling great

She takes out knife

And cuts me in half

Just for the buzz

Just for the laugh

Heart taken out

And placed on side

Nothing to do

Nowhere to hide

Diced into segments

Eaten there as and then

I know this will happen

Yes, all over again.
