There was a wonderful attendance at the Soroptimist Annual Charity Fund Raising Lunch in the Greville Arms Hotel.
Sarah McCormack said: "This was one of our best years, with a wonderful turnout from the people from Mullingar." Niamh Ledwith, president, speaking on the day said the event is now part of people’s Christmas diaries, and they look forward to it and support it, in the spirit of the community supporting one other. Local businesses are also supportive and sponsored prizes for the raffle. Others made donations to support the local charities. All proceeds from the event and the donations received will be allocated in a selection of local charities early in the new year.
