Robert Delaney is Cricket Ireland Coach of The Year
Mullingar Cricket Club are delighted and very proud to announce that first team Player and women's and youth coordinator Robert Delaney has won Cricket Ireland Coach of the Year. This is a fantastic piece of news for someone who has worked tirelessly to improve the standard and availability of cricket to every member in Mullingar Cricket Club, whether they knew it or not.
Coming through the ranks as a junior, he has gained a huge amount of experience in his time with the club, undertaking a number of Cricket Leinster and ECB coaching courses down the years, and his recent appointment as Chair of Secondary Schools Cricket in Cricket Leinster for the 2024 season has shown his dedication to helping grow the game for younger members, not just Mullingar, but across but also the province.
The awards night was last Friday in the Clontarf Castle Hotel and was attended by a large number of the current men's and women's national team members.
