Many congratulations and big well done to all the participants who took part in various events and represented County Westmeath in the Cairn Community Games Leinster semi-finals and finals.
Leinster gold medal winners who go forward to the national finals at the end of May include: the Draughts under 10 team (from Ballynacargy Sonna), the Table Tennis girls under 13 team (Milltown Emper Moyvore), the Rugby 7s girls team (Multyfarnham), the Table Tennis under 13 boys team (Rochfortbridge), the Badminton under 15 boys team (Milltown Emper Moyvore) and the Table Tennis under 16 boys team (Milltown Emper Moyvore).
The local volunteers offered special thanks to all the other volunteers across the county and in Leinster who give their time to support the running of Community Games, and especially to Westmeath Community Games secretary, Sean Liston, who works tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of events.
As the motto for this year Cairn Community Games goes, ‘We’re All In!’.
