Supermacs set to open in Kinnegad

Supermac’s is set to open three new outlets this year with the creation of 200 jobs across outlets in Wexford, Waterford and Kinnegad.

Construction on the Kinnegad outlet has already begun, and while the spend hasn’t been released yet, it is said to be in the region of "several million".

That's according to a spokesperson for Supermacs who says they quick service restaurant will provide up to 100 jobs for Kinnegad, including a mixture of food service, customer service, managers and retail.

Supermac’s is Ireland’s largest indigenous quick service restaurant chain. A further 300 jobs are in the pipeline in Letterkenny, Longford, Ennis and Portlaoise - subject to the granting of planning permission.

The announcement was made by Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD this morning.

Owned by Pat and Una McDonagh, a further 100 jobs will be created through the redevelopment and refurbishment of the Athlone Springs Hotel, the Castle Oaks House Hotel, Limerick and the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise.
