Meeting about Community Games expansion

A public meeting is taking place tomorrow evening, Thursday, September 13, at The Greville Arms at 8pm, with a view to explaining the process of registering and activating Community Games groups.

“Areas have to be activated ahead of the county AGM,” said Westmeath Community Games chairperson, Emily Wallace, MCC, this week.

To spell out what’s involved, and facilitate areas interested in reactivating their groups, or areas which might wish to join up, the meeting will set out the full schedule and requirements.

“As chairperson, I am going to be proactive in ensuring that no child who wishes to take part in an activity is unable to do so,” says Emily.

There’s a tight schedule ahead as ratification will be done towards the end of this month, so areas wishing to be involved this year will need to get moving fast.
