Dempsey scores another podium finish in Asian F3

Jordan Dempsey’s strong run in the Asian F3 series continued last week at Shanghai, where he scored another podium finish.

He made steady progress across the weekend in his CJJ Motorsports Pinnacle Motorsport car, and from a sixth fastest time in the first qualifying session, he gained two places after making “a few changes to the set-up”.

Confident ahead of the race, he was pleased with the outcome of the weekend: “I’m delighted with this past weekend in Shanghai,” Jordan told the Westmeath Examiner this week.

“To get another podium and make the progress that we did on the car was fantastic.

“We struggled with tyres for races one and two and really scratched our heads until we found that out, but as soon as we got that sorted we had the pace to fight at the front!

“Huge thanks to the team for all of their hard work over the weekend and huge thanks to CJJ Motorsports for getting me out this year and for their constant support.

“We ticked all the boxes that we wanted to this weekend, and more – let’s hope we can keep improving next time out!”

On his way to his third place in race three, the Mullingar racer recorded fifth in race one and eighth in race two.

His next outing in the F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA is this coming weekend, September 21-22.
