A busy week in the Parish of Collinstown Fore has just finished. It started with a Blessing of the Hands on Monday night, followed by a renewal of marriage vows on Tuesday night, Children’s preparation for the sacraments of Communion and Confirmation on Wednesday night Healing Mass on Thursday night, Remembrance Mass Friday Night and a Blessing of animals and pets on Saturday. The Parish also held a steeplechase of sorts with a 5K run between St Feichin’s Church in Fore and St Mary’s Church in Collinstown.
This celebration of Faith finished the week with a massive parish party in Collinstown. Lunch was served for the parishioners, music provided by Delvin’s Hally O’Neill, catering provided by David Smith and tales filled with beautiful desserts provided by the parishioners.
There was also the annual parish draw, and PP Fr Patrick produced a wonderful old fashioned tombola. First out of the spinning cage was Alice Molloy, who won €10,000, followed by Niall Nally, €1000, and Mary Daly, who won the third prize of €500.
