Stellar line-up for concert in aid of Kilbeggan church fund

There’s hardly room on the advertising posters to list all the artists lined up to perform at a gala concert taking place in Kilbeggan on Monday February 17.

That’s not because the posters are small – it’s because the list is long!

The event is being held in aid of the Kilbeggan church renovation fund, and given the number of artists taking part, supporters would be well advised to get their ticket good and early to ensure they don’t miss out, advises Rose Spillane, one of those helping get the show off the ground.

The compère for the evening will be Tom Curtin – known throughout the midlands for his skill as both a DJ and master of ceremonies.

He will be introducing John Hogan, Larissa Tormey, Ryan Turner, Olivia Douglas, Simon Casey, Carmel Sheerin, Camillus Egerton, TR Dallas, Michelle Murphy, and Shunie Crampsey.

“The concert starts at 7.45pm, but the doors will be open from 7.15pm and it would be great if people could come earlier and get settled into their seats,” Rose told the Westmeath Examiner, adding that a great night of entertainment is promised for all.

Tickets for the concert cost €20 and are available after all weekend Masses in Kilbeggan and Rahugh, as well as from the Beauty Treatment Rooms, John Whelan’s Shop, and the Parish Charity Shop, all on Main Street Kilbeggan.

Also selling tickets are members of the Parish Pastoral Council; or call 086 6022731. There will be a big raffle on the nigh, and the top prize will be sponsored by Joe Scally of the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney.
