Brian Brady bought a new Ford Fiesta R2T19 on Saturday and is heading to West Cork this weekend for round two of the British Rally Championship.

The Oldcastle rally driver said: “After not finishing in the Cambrian last month, we really need a good result.

“With everybody in the same spec car this weekend, it’s going to be tight going.”

Brady and co-driver Eamonn Creedon, who is from Inchigeelagh, County Cork, are seeded at number 48 for the event.

The 42nd Clonakilty Park West Cork Rally takes place on March 14 and 15.

The Clonakilty Park Hotel (formerly the Quality Hotel) is once again the rally headquarters for the weekend.

Service will be in a centralised location over the two days.

There will be a historic and junior section, the historic rally beginning on stage five, and the junior rally take in all the Sunday stages.
