A shaggy dog story

There was no doubt that Westmeath was a county of dog lovers on Sunday, when nearly 1,500 people turned out for the annual Scruff"s Dog Show.Over 200 dogs entered into the fun dog show competing for titles such as 'waggiest tail', 'most like their owners' and 'dog you would most like to take home'.Organiser Brigid Geoghegan was delighted by how the day turned out. She told the Westmeath Examiner;' Scruffs is all a bit of fun. The sun shone and the entry fees all went to the ISPCA to help with their sterling work. I think the biggest dog we had today was an English Bull mastif, weighing in at over 12 stone and the smallest was a chiwawa, which weighed about the same as a bag of sugar.'
