Superclean at buckley's supervalu

Two Westmeath SuperValu stores; Buckley's SuperValu Moate and Buckley's SuperValu Mullingar, were presented with the Supreme National Hygiene Award by Martin Kelleher, Managing Director SuperValu and Irene Collins, Managing Director, Excellence Ireland at the 2011 SuperValu Quality Awards ceremony held in Killarney.The Supreme Hygiene Award identifies and rewards retailers that have performed to a consistently high level over a three year period. Year-on-year these entrepreneurial food retailers continue to push out the boundaries of excellence with a total of 105 SuperValu stores receiving the Supreme Hygiene Award in 2011.Commenting at the awards ceremony, Martin Kelleher, Managing Director, SuperValu, said "SuperValu is committed to meeting and exceeding the highest standards of food safety. Quality is at the heart of everything we do and the number of SuperValu stores that have achieved an EIQA Award is a testament to this. The hygiene ethos is embedded in daily standards and is maintained throughout our food chain, from production right through to the supermarket shelf."
