World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

More than 400 people attended the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims on Sunday November 18 at Belvedere House and Gardens.A tree was planted in memory of the 23,227 victims lost on Irish roads since the late 1970s, and 150 candles were lit in memory of the 150 victims lost this year.Photographs of loved ones and candles were displayed on the table of remembrance, while balloons and lanterns were released in their memory as night fell.
