Tribfest cancelled

Tribfest Music Festival Ireland, due to go ahead over the May Bank Holiday weekend in Tullynally Castle, has been cancelled.

The festival, which was set to see some of the biggest tribute acts including The Joshua Tree, The Springsteens, and Kings ov Leon come to Castlepollard, is “regrettably” unable to proceed.

In a statement issued by Directing Tourism, one of parties involved in the festival it said:
“Directing Tourism has worked hard on trying to bring this event to North Westmeath with UK Festival Promoter Ed Entertainments and would like to thank Tullynally Castle, Nolan Sound, Celtic Media Group, Midlands 103 and Hotel Castlepollard for their assistance with this and share everyone’s disappointment that the event is unable to take place.”

People who have purchased tickets are being advised that the online ticket agency are currently issuing refunds which will be credited to accounts from Friday April 11.

Meanwhile, ticket competition winners will be issued with tickets for the UK Tribfest, set to take place in Yorkshire this August.
