Car found update - photo from scene

The scene at Lough Owel earlier today.

A Ford Focus found in Mullingar today is believed to be the car in which the two Dublin men who have gone missing, set off from Dublin on Tuesday morning.

The car is understood to have been found at The Diving Board at Lough Owel.

The vehicle, registration number 04 D 46380, is understood to belong to the mother of 34 year old Eoin O'Connor, who, with 35 year old Anthony Keegan, is understood to have travelled to Cavan to meet a man living in Cavan.

The men have not been seen since, and amid family and garda fears for their safety, farmers in Cavan have been asked by the gardaí to check their fields and outhouses for any sign of the two men.
