Bank of ireland is the sponsor of 2014 garda chamber golf classic

The Bank of Ireland has been unveiled as the main sponsor of the 2014 Garda Chamber Golf Classic, an important annual networking and social event for the business community.

Ian Gavin, president of Mullingar Chamber, said: “At a time when business confidence is increasing, it is an ideal event for the participants to build their contacts and get to know others in business in the midlands. This year we are grateful for the Bank of Ireland coming on board as the main event sponsor and other sponsors of the event include Curran Coaches, Monilea and McDonalds, Mullingar.”

The classic is a Four Ball competition with an entry fee of €160 per team.

“It is also an excellent opportunity for business to advertise to business in the area, with the opportunity to sponsor the tees and greens,” said Ian. “Promotion within our own business community is a crucial aspect of chamber activity and encouraging our members to work together and learn more about other local businesses is an important part of building a healthy business community.”

This year’s classic was launched at Mullingar Golf Club, which won the 2014 best parkland course in Leinster, and is considered one of the best courses in Ireland. The greens require a sure putting stroke and test the quality of the golfer and their course management.

The Garda Chamber Cup Golf Classic is on Monday September 15 in Mullingar Golf Club, 11am-4pm.
