Mr crumb and the easy food homecook hero awards

A Finea food company features in a TV show this Saturday, as sponsor of a prize in the Easy Food Home-Cook Hero Awards.

Mr Crumb sponsored the Best Burger category, and Eoin Ryan from Windgap, County Kilkenny took the top prize for his Plain Delicious Lamb Burger.

Mr Crumb has won several international awards for the taste and high quality of its products. The business now employs more than 100 people full-time at its Finea site, along with an additional 50 people seasonally, all currently working hard to ensure that no Christmas dinner table will miss that all important ingredient.

The final of the Easy Food Home-Cook Hero Awards was last Saturday November 8 at Cooks Academy Cookery School, South William Street, Dublin.

The judges were celebrity chefs Catherine Fulvio and Paul Flynn and the MD of Easy Food magazine Gina Miltiadou, and the winners were chosen and announced by host Martin King at a black-tie award ceremony in The Shelbourne Hotel.

Each winner received €1,500 worth of prizes including a weekend break, kitchen appliances, restaurant vouchers, and a hamper of utensils, kitchenware and foodie goodies.

The overall big award on the night was the Easy Food Dish of the Year, which was awarded to Eoin Corr, Dundalk, County Louth, with his Autumn Streusel Cake, who went home with a fantastic Kenwood Chef White Titanium.

Jason Coyle of Mr Crumb said: “This Christmas, Mr Crumb stuffings will proudly be on one in every three Irish Christmas dinner tables. Because we make our stuffings just like you would in your own kitchen at home, by hand and using fresh ingredients, the Easy Food Home Cook Heroes Award is an ideal event for us to be involved in.”

The Easy Food Home-Cook Hero TV show airs on TV3 on Saturday November 15 at 1.40pm.
